He earned his degree in Business Administration from the University of Sheffield while training to become an Approved Driving Instructor, qualifying in 2003. Since then, he has dedicated his career to advancing mobility services for individuals with complex needs.
Andrew has held key roles with Disability Action – The Northern Ireland Mobility Centre and Transport and Mobility Consultants Ireland, delivering specialist driving assessments and mobility solutions. In 2018, he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Driving Assessment and Outdoor Mobility through the University of Chester.
He has contributed extensively to Driving Mobility’s national initiatives, serving on working groups such as the Standards Working Group and the Police Fitness to Drive Assessment. He also supported the organisation’s education programme as an Affiliate Lecturer for Oxford Brookes University, helping to shape the next generation of professionals in the field.
From 2022 to 2023, Andrew served as Project Manager at Driving Mobility, where he led the launch of the PracDriva resource at the CIECA Congress in Vienna. In 2023, he took on the role of Project Manager for DriveAbility Scotland, where he was instrumental in securing one of the largest grants ever awarded by the Motability Foundation, aimed at expanding and enhancing mobility services throughout Scotland. His leadership and strategic vision led to his appointment as CEO of DriveAbility Scotland in November 2024.
